NEW DRIVING LAWS -- Effective Jan. 1, 2006 -- $75

Teens get tougher regulations beginning January 1st 2006. Licensed Teen Drivers under 18 years of age will not be allowed to drive between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. or to transport passengers who are under 20 years of age. Read entire bill here.

TEEN DRIVER EDUCATION -- $75    ENROLL NOW!

Private Educational Network (PEN) courses meet California's Provisional Instruction Permit requirements for students under 18 years of age. This is the only online home study course conducted by a California DMV licensed Instructor. PEN is the recognized leader in California for at-home driver education and was California DMV's only Private School Driver Education pilot project participant.

PEN allows teenagers to learn driving theory from the comfort of home. Why leave the house and attend class when our at-home courses are simple, educational, and fun? Teenagers in high school or at least 15 years old may participate in our program.

The driver education course should be completed as follows:
ONLINE: The internet program must be completed no later than 30 days from the date of course enrollment. BOOKLET: Completed coursework must be postmarked no later than 30 days from the date materials were received. (A maximum of 5 mailing days are allowed from the date PEN mails out the materials.)

Upon successful completion of the driver education course, students will be issued a certificates of completion that are accepted by the Department of Motor Vehicles to apply for a permit.

NOTE: If a student does not pass or qualify for the Internet or book course, a completion certificate will NOT be issued.
